Performing as many push ups as possible during 10 minutes.
The idea of this challenge was to compete not with other participants but with yourself. The technique of performing the push ups is important and all of the participants tried their best to do it in a right way. However, it was not the most important thing. What counted was that they pushed themselves and they tried.
Qufu Shaolin Kung Fu School, China
Summer time, very hot (around 34°C)
Challenge was performed during the break between Kung Fu Basics class and Kung Fu Forms class. Kung Fu Basics class was already very exhausting.
DAY OF THE WEEK
Wednesday (after two days of training).
- RockDaniRoll from Colombia,
- Keven from Canada,
- Charlote from Germany,
- Philip from Germany,
- Shahida from London,
- Felix from Germany,
- Mattia from Italy.
Participants of this challenge differed in fitness level, age and time they were training in the school. This was the challenge between normal people, who tried their best and accepted the challenge. Qufu Shaolin Kung Fu School doesn’t train the students in push ups. The training here is very diverse. We learn forms and weapons, we improve flexibility and endurance, but we don’t do push ups everyday as far as the person trains it by himself.
So more thumbs up for their determination and strength!
- Making push ups in 10 minutes is very exhausting.
- The start wasn’t that difficult but at the end everybody felt very tired. Participants could make 60,70 push ups in the first 3 minutes but in the next 7 minutes the number didn’t tripled, in some cases it didn’t even reach the double.
- All the participants reached the number above 100 push ups, which is impressive! Regardless the age or gender.
CONGRATULATION TO ALL OUR PARTICIPANTS!!! AND LET’S MEET AGAIN IN THE NEXT CHALLENGE!
